Victor Apukhtin presented a portrait of the philosopher Nikolai Berdyaev

Victor Apukhtin presented a portrait of the philosopher Nikolai Berdyaev from his new project “Graphic synonyms of Russian philosophy of the Silver Age” during the premiere of a film about Berdyaev at the Russian House in Tashkent.

On July 19, the Russian House in Tashkent hosted the premiere of the documentary film “Philosopher of the 21st Century. Dialogues about Berdyaev". The film tells about the life and views of Nikolai Aleksandrovich Berdyaev, an outstanding Russian philosopher, sociologist, representative of existentialism and personalism.

Welcoming speeches were given by:

- Rostislav Voitekhovsky, consultant of the Russian House;

- Elena Peshkova, Russian artist and photographer, student and art curator of Viktor Apukhtin;

- Boris Babaev, journalist, writer, head of the "Intellectual" Club.

Before the start of the session, visionary artist Viktor Apukhtin presented a unique portrait of Berdyaev from his new project “Graphic synonyms of Russian philosophy of the Silver Age” and gave a short lecture about Berdyaev’s philosophy, which he tried to reveal through a drawing.

“Spiritual aristocracy is combined with genuine spiritual democracy” - words about Berdyaev from the film. This can safely be chosen as the slogan of Viktor Olegovich. A nobleman, an educated man, and Berdyaev, and Victor Apukhtin. Both are living and passionate seekers of images of Truth. One only through words, the other through drawing.

That's why the film is called Dialogues about Philosophers - it's a story. Viktor Apukhtin’s project is “Walks” with various outstanding personalities... Pushkin, Gogol, Dante... It assumes a confidential dialogue. Witnesses of which will be the audience of the Graphic Theater by Viktor Apukhtin.

The most important thing that the film, like Apukhtin’s drawings, encourages is the desire to take the author’s book and form your own opinion.

The premiere brought together about 50 people who were able to immerse themselves in the world of the philosophy of freedom and get acquainted with the life and work of one of the most prominent representatives of Russian thought. An active discussion after the film showed the keen interest of the public and the desire to further study the history of Russian philosophy.

The project was implemented jointly by the Russian House in Tashkent, the Center for International and Cultural-Business Cooperation “Culture for Life” and the "Intellectual" Club.

The film was created by the Center for Russian Philosophy and Culture named after. ON THE. Berdyaev together with the Moscow State Budgetary Institution “House of A.F. Losev - scientific library and memorial museum" with the support of the Presidential Fund for Cultural Initiatives.
